Wellstreet invests in Tab Technology to build the missing infrastructure layer for digital receipts

Stockholm, 17 March 2026: Founded in 2024 by Calle Mellbin and Hector Zarate, Tab has built an API-first platform that connects card issuers and point-of-sale systems with banks, fintechs, and expense management platforms, delivering full, itemised receipt data in real time. Where a bank transaction today shows only a merchant name and amount, Tab delivers the complete contents of the purchase, line by line. The technology unlocks new capabilities in expense automation, financial clarity, and carbon footprint tracking at the transaction level. Tab already counts SEB Cards, Eurocard, AirPlus, Mynt and Juni among its clients, with coverage across more than 12,000 merchant locations in Sweden, Denmark and Norway.

Wellstreet made the investment in December 2025, ahead of a planned larger financing round in spring 2026.

"Tab has built an impressive client base in a remarkably short time, clear proof that both the product and the market need are real. Digital receipt infrastructure is a missing layer in the Nordic ecosystem, and we see strong synergies with several of our portfolio companies," says Armando Coppola, Partner and Fund Manager at Wellstreet.

"We wanted a partner who understands the Nordic fintech market and can help us accelerate our growth. Wellstreet gives us exactly that," says Calle Mellbin, Co-founder and CEO of Tab Technology.
