Stockholm, 11 September 2025 – Wellstreet today announces the appointment of Maria Lindholm as CEO, effective 1 November 2025.
Maria Lindholm, currently serving as Vice President, brings over a decade of operational and leadership experience, spanning finance, venture capital, and high-growth startups. She most recently led the international expansion at the FoodTech company Nick’s and has been recognized on Ledarna’s list of Sweden’s Future Female Leaders and Nova’s 111 List.
“It is an honor to take on this new challenge and the opportunities it brings. Over the past two years, I’ve had the privilege of working closely with our partners, LPs, and portfolio companies, and I’ve seen firsthand the strength of the Wellstreet ecosystem. My focus will be on ensuring continuity while also driving our long-term mission to back ambitious founders and scale companies that make a lasting impact,” says Maria Lindholm.
Maria succeeds Evelina Anttila, who moves on to pursue new ventures, but continues to support Wellstreet as investor and board member. During her tenure as CEO, Evelina helped shape Wellstreet’s vision, strengthened its position as one of the most active early-stage investors in the Nordics, and supported the development of a strong portfolio of technology companies.
“It has been an incredible journey as a hands-on VC investor, but my entrepreneurial side is calling, and it feels like the right moment to create the space to explore my own path. I’ll remain a proud supporter as a board member, and I look forward to seeing the team take Wellstreet to new heights,” says Evelina Anttila.
“Evelina’s impact on Wellstreet has been profound. She combined vision with execution, strengthened our reputation, and became a valued partner to entrepreneurs and investors. We fully support her decision to return to her entrepreneurial roots and are confident that Maria will guide the team with strength during this transition,” says Sïmon Saneback, Founding Partner at Wellstreet.
