Wellstreet portfolio company Tab Technology acquired by Kivra
Tab Technology, backed by Wellstreet Fintech Fund I in December 2025, has been acquired by Kivra, Sweden's leading digital mailbox platform with over six million users.

Stockholm, 13 April 2026: Wellstreet today announces the acquisition of Tab Technology by Kivra, resulting in a clean exit for Wellstreet Fintech Fund I. The holding period was considerably shorter than we would have anticipated, but the strategic logic of the transaction was strong and the outcome clear.
Tab was founded in 2024 by Calle Mellbin and Hector Zarate to solve a fundamental gap in the Nordic financial ecosystem: the digitisation of receipts. By building an API-first infrastructure layer connecting merchants and point-of-sale systems with card issuers, banks, and expense management platforms, Tab enabled smart receipts to arrive directly in banking apps, with full, line-item data intact. In a short time, the company built an impressive commercial footprint, with over 12,000 connected merchants and clients including SEB, Mynt, Airplus and Juni.
For Kivra, the acquisition accelerates its position as the central hub for digital receipts in Sweden. Tab's team will join Kivra as part of the transaction.
"We invested in Tab because we saw a clear infrastructure gap and a founding team that moved exceptionally fast. The holding period was shorter than we would have liked, but the strategic logic was strong and it delivered a clean exit for the fund. We are proud of what Calle and Hector built, and we look forward to seeing what they do next as part of Kivra," says Armando Coppola, Partner and Fund Manager at Wellstreet.
