Armando has spent the better part of the last decade building Wellstreet into one of the most active early-stage fintech investors in the Nordics. As Fund Manager of Fintech Fund I, focused on early-stage B2B fintech, regtech and insurtech, he brings something most investors can't: he's been on the other side of the table. A serial entrepreneur with several successful exits behind him, he knows what it actually feels like when things go sideways at 2am, and what it takes to come out the other side.
At Wellstreet, his involvement goes well beyond writing a check. He sits on boards, rolls up his sleeves and stays genuinely invested in the founders he backs, not just the returns. It's an approach that has earned him the nickname "Mr Fintech", a title he didn't give himself. When he needs to clear his head, he takes it to the mountains on a bike with his two sons.
